We are seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team as an AI/ML Senior Manager Engineer. In this role, you will influence and advise across multiple teams while delivering innovative Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions. We are looking for a professional with strong expertise in AI/ML technologies, cloud-based AI services, and Database Architecture, capable of designing scalable, production-ready platforms that enable advanced analytics and intelligent applications.

Qualifications

• Expert proficiency in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies
• Strong experience with cloud-based AI services and enterprise AI solution architecture
• Advanced knowledge of Database Architecture, data modeling, and scalable data platforms
• Experience developing and deploying deep learning models, LLMs, and AI-driven applications
• Strong understanding of MLOps, data engineering, and production-grade AI/ML pipelines
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments
• Advanced English communication skills (minimum, B2)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems using cloud-based AI services
• Build scalable data pipelines that support model training and production environments, with a strong focus on operational excellence
• Customize and apply deep learning and Generative AI models based on business requirements and available data
• Conduct research and development of advanced algorithms, models, and simulations for high-performance computing applications
• Work with large-scale datasets and apply data preprocessing techniques to ensure high-quality training and production data
• Design, implement, and maintain efficient data storage and retrieval systems that support machine learning models and knowledge management solutions
• Define and evolve database architecture strategies to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing AI platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure, data, and computing requirements, including edge devices and high-performance computing resources
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to key architectural and technology decisions across multiple teams
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AI technologies and identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes

Nice to Have

• Experience with Foundation Model Fine Tuning and Large Language Model Fine-Tuning.

Location: Lisbon

Legal: Must own a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space Nationality to legally work in Portugal.
