AI/ML Prompt Engineer

Location: Remote LATAM

We are seeking highly skilled AI/ML Prompt Engineers to support an enterprise-wide AI engineering initiative focused on accelerating software development, automation, and secure code generation through advanced prompt engineering and LLM-enabled workflows.

This role is ideal for engineers who understand how to leverage AI tools as a core part of the software development lifecycle — not as an enhancement, but as a primary engineering methodology. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where prompt-driven development, AI-assisted coding, and iterative optimization are embedded into daily delivery expectations.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on expertise utilizing modern LLM ecosystems such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and related AI tooling platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize advanced prompts for enterprise AI/ML use cases
  • Utilize LLMs to accelerate software development, testing, debugging, and documentation generation
  • Build AI-assisted workflows for secure application development and defect remediation
  • Engineer reusable prompt frameworks and prompt libraries for enterprise engineering teams
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering leaders to integrate AI-driven development practices into SDLC workflows
  • Use AI tools to generate, review, refactor, and secure code across multiple technology stacks
  • Partner with cybersecurity and development teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities using AI-enabled approaches
  • Fine-tune prompts to improve response quality, consistency, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Evaluate output quality, hallucination risks, and AI model effectiveness across various use cases
  • Contribute to rapid prototyping and “pizza team” style agile delivery initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of emerging AI/ML tooling, prompt engineering techniques, and agentic AI frameworks

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or prompt engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise AI tools such as:
  • ChatGPT
  • Claude
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Gemini
  • Cursor
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering concepts, chaining strategies, context optimization, and model behavior
  • Experience leveraging AI to generate production-ready code
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages:
  • Python
  • Java
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • C#
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a highly evolving AI-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
  • Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or agentic AI frameworks
  • Exposure to cloud AI platforms:
  • AWS Bedrock
  • Azure OpenAI
  • Google Vertex AI
  • Experience integrating AI workflows into CI/CD pipelines
  • Background supporting enterprise modernization or digital transformation initiatives
  • Prior experience within large enterprise environments
