NextGen’s practice in AI/ML Engineering is growing. As such, we are seeking to hire an AI/ML Engineering with experience to support the iterative creation of AI/ML product models for the DoD. This engineer will collaborate to solve complex technical tasks while becoming experts within the AI/ML environment. Establish and grow your Software engineering career with NextGen today!

Responsibilities

Work alongside a team to develop discriminative and generative AI/ML models to support the analytic mission

Will work closely with the product owner across functional team of SMEs, and product owners to align with the team objectives while creating optimized AI/ML models

Work to create AI/ML model utilization, availability, access and data utilization, availability, and access for AI/ML models

Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models using appropriate tools and techniques

Develop user interfaces to enable the exchange of information directly related to AI/ML across web applications

Develop interfaces to enable the exchange of metadata related to AI/ML models and providers via web applications

Provide enablement support for AI/ML Services to the team

Develop an automated process for the workforce team to gain access LLM models

Work successfully and collaborate effectively within a highly technical agile team environment and contribute to team workflows, tools, and documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar

7+ years of AI/ML engineering experience

Ability to analyze problems with a flexible and creative approach, manage complex tasks and adapt to rapidly changing requirements

Familiarity with AI/ML based systems and understanding model values and data driven analysis

Knowledge/familiarity with AI/ML algorithms including Linear Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural networks, and Dijkstra's

Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and implement in a dynamic environment

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and customer-facing skills

Desired Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C++, SQL

Experience with one or more of the following: AWS, Azure, Git

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
