The AI/ML Engineer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of data science and machine learning solutions to enhance product capabilities.
This role focuses on applying data science techniques under guidance, contributing to model development, data processing, and validation activities. The candidate will work closely with senior data scientists, software engineers, and cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven capabilities into products.

Roles and Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Support the development and implementation of machine learning models, statistical analyses, and AI algorithms.
• Assist in data preparation, data cleaning, and exploratory data analysis.
• Contribute to model training, evaluation, and validation tasks under supervision.
• Help build and maintain data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers to support the integration of machine learning models into applications.
• Assist in model testing, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Document experiments, results, and technical findings clearly.
• Participate in team discussions and contribute to continuous learning and improvement.
• Work in a global, cross-functional team environment and follow Agile development practices.

Quality Specific Goals:

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
• Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• 0–7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related areas (including internships or academic projects).
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and statistical methods.
• Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with data processing libraries such as Pandas or NumPy
• Basic understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and model validation/testing practices.
• Fundamental understanding of software development and testing practices.
• Business-level English communication skills for global collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project experience in machine learning or data science.
• Experience with data pipeline development and large-scale data processing technologies.
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, or academic research projects.
• Experience working with image data or basic image processing techniques.
