Responsibilities

We are looking for an engineer who combines strong data science expertise with solid software engineering skills. The role covers the full development cycle of ML and GenAI-driven features — from initial assessment and modeling to deployment and ongoing production monitoring.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across multiple domains within a single project and takes end-to-end ownership of delivered solutions.

• Own ML/AI scoping for new product initiatives: feasibility assessment, data requirements, and technical approach proposal
• Design, develop, and validate ML models and GenAI-based solutions appropriate to the business problem
• Deliver reference implementations of model services (APIs, pipelines) ready for engineering integration
• Participate in deployment planning: rollout strategy, A/B testing setup, infrastructure requirements
• Define and maintain production monitoring: model quality metrics, drift detection, alerting

Requirements

Data Science & Machine Learning

• Solid ML fundamentals and practical experience with model selection, feature engineering, validation, and calibration
• Statistical fluency: A/B testing, metric design, basics of causal inference

Generative AI

• Practical experience building GenAI-powered features: prompt engineering, RAG architectures, LLM integration
• Strong focus on evaluation and quality measurement: ability to design eval pipelines, define quality metrics for generative outputs, detect regressions, and measure improvement across model versions
• Understanding of GenAI failure modes and how to make them observable in production

Software Engineering

• Python as primary language: production-quality code, packaging, testing, async
• Python ecosystem fluency across the full stack: data layer (pandas, polars, numpy), classical ML (scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM), deep learning (PyTorch, HuggingFace transformers), GenAI/Agentic orchestration tooling
• SQL at an advanced analytical level: complex aggregations, window functions, query optimization
• REST APIs, async pipelines, basic system design
• Git, CI/CD, containerization

Production Mindset

• Experience deploying ML/GenAI solutions to production and supporting them post-launch
• Ability to define measurable quality and health criteria for a model before deployment
