High School DIploma or GED
Passage of WV Competency Test for "Aide".
Must complete WVDE coursework for permanent Authorization.
Safety Care training required.
Personnel who do not possess the minimum requirements for the Aide V permanent authorization but are enrolled in and pursuing requirements for a
behavioral support assistant teacher will be classified as "temporary authorization" - supervisory and paid on an "F" pay grade.
Personnel who have completed the requirements and experience for a behavioral support assistant teacher to be prescribed by the state board of education
will be classified as "permanent authorization" - supervisory and paid on a "G" pay grade.
Required courses will be through the West Virginia Department of Education canvas platform.
Monday through Friday
Vacancy contingent upon the board's approval of the current employee's resignation.
Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
