Salary based on experience and position per the attached salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
Candidate must pass the Service Personnel Competency Test for "Aide"
Personnel who do not possess the minimum requirements for the Aide V permanent authorization but are enrolled in and pursuing requirements for a special education assistant teacher will be classified as "temporary authorization" - supervisory and paid on an "F" pay grade.
Personnel who have completed the requirements and experience for a special education assistant teacher to be prescribed by the state board of education will be classified as "permanent authorization" - supervisory and paid on a "G" pay grade.
Required courses will be offered by the West Virginia Department of Education and will be administered similar to ECCAT courses.
Personnel will have three (3) years to complete the required courses.
