An open call to people obsessed with AI

This isn’t your typical job ad, and this isn’t a typical role.

We’re building a small, high-impact group inside Employment Hero focused on one thing - using AI to fundamentally change how a business operates at scale.

If you’re already deep in AI (building, experimenting, automating) this is your chance to apply that thinking across an entire company.

You’ll join our Ops Engineering team, a group with a simple mandate - build what scales tomorrow.

In practice, that means

  • Finding high-friction, high-impact problems across the business
  • Building AI-driven solutions that actually change how work gets done
  • Embedding what you build, then moving on to the next challenge

No area is off-limits. You could be working across implementation & onboarding, sales development, finance operations, HR & people operations, product and more.

This isn’t a fixed role - it’s more like a pathway through the business. You’ll start in Ops Engineering, then follow the problems where they matter most.

Who you are

There’s no single background that fits this. What matters is how you think and what you build.

You might be an engineer. You might be in ops. You might have come from sales, product, finance, or something completely different.

  • You’re hands-on with AI You’re not just talking about it - you’re building, coding, automating. You have real outputs.
  • You think from first principles You question how things work and redesign them from the ground up.
  • You care about impact You connect what you build to real outcomes - efficiency, growth, scale.
  • You’re a builder You make things. Quickly. And you iterate.
  • You’re curious (and a bit relentless) You go deeper than most and you stick with problems until they’re solved.

Think of this as a high-calibre internal program for people who want to work across an entire business, not sit inside one function.

You’ll get broad exposure, solve meaningful problems, and over time, find where you can have the biggest impact.
