Job Description

The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is pivotal in advancing the firm's data and analytics capabilities, ensuring strong adherence to data & AI risk & control while enabling the data & analytics strategy for superior decision-making and business outcomes to serve our clients and markets. By leveraging data & AI/ML, the CDAO develops innovative solutions to support commercial goals, enhance productivity, and manage risks. The Asia Pacific Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) advances the firm’s data and analytics strategy, platforms, solutions, capabilities, and governance to deliver trustworthy, responsible, innovative, and commercially valuable outcomes across the APAC markets and businesses.

As an Associate in APAC AI Strategy & Enablement, the individual supports the team in advancing the region’s AI strategy and execution. Working closely with business and functional teams, the Associate assists in the development of AI roadmaps, helps identify and analyze AI use cases, and contributes to the delivery of solutions that drive client value, operational efficiency, and risk management. This role requires a foundational understanding of wholesale banking and asset management business domains, as well as exposure to data and AI capabilities—including data strategy, traditional and frontier AI (GenAI/ML), and agentic AI—implemented safely and compliantly within a Financial Services environment.

The Associate contributes to responsible innovation, helping the region realize commercial value and operational efficiency through analytics and AI solutions, while supporting alignment with global AI governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements for AI use cases.
  • Support ideation workshops, design sessions, and discovery engagements.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and success metrics that drive effective execution of AI initiatives.
  • Help translate business needs into clear technical requirements, ensuring AI solutions are tailored for real-world impact.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with data management, governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote AI literacy and continuous learning within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of AI projects.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
  • Formal training or certification with 5+ years of experience in AI, data science, technology, or analytics within financial services.
  • Understanding of financial services business lines and functions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, GenAI, and data management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and business needs.
  • Awareness of APAC regulatory environment and cultural diversity.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience supporting AI/ML projects from ideation to delivery.
  • Knowledge of capital markets or asset management domains.
  • Exposure to data governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in preparing stakeholder communications and reports.
