Job Description

Motion is building the command center for creative strategists: an AI-native platform that bridges the gap between performance marketers and creative teams, so they can uncover what’s working, what’s not, and ship more winning ads across platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, and TikTok.

We're at the forefront of AI as the foundation of our product. Motion now automatically analyzes and organizes creative at scale and surfaces competitor trends. And with Runneth - the AI brain for the 100x marketer - we're going further: a persistent creative strategy agent that lives where your team already works (Slack, Notion, Google Drive, your ad data) and turns a marketer's knowledge and instincts into cross-channel playbooks, automated workflows, and a system that gets smarter over time. Our bet isn't that AI replaces great marketers. It's that the best marketers will use AI to operate at a scale that wasn't previously possible.

Today, Motion is trusted by some of the world’s top e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands and agencies (including Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, and HexClad) and has analyzed over $14B in media spend. When leading brands want to understand their creative performance, they turn to us.

Our founders have built successful companies before, including alongside several of the people now at Motion. A number of teammates chose to build again here — a reflection of the trust, culture, and conviction behind what we’re building.

The people building Motion are deeply embedded in where AI and our industry is heading, and obsessed with closing the gap between what's possible and what's actually shipping in product. We're a 75 person remote team backed by $65M+ in funding with a valuation that's nearly 3x'd in under two years. If you want to work on a hard problem, with people who've done it before, and a product that customers genuinely love - we'd love to connect!

▶️ Brief overview of the Motion product & Runneth from our Co-Founder & CEO, Reza Khadjavi.

About the role

We believe the next great marketer isn't a bigger team, it's one sharp person with serious leverage. We built Runneth, the AI operating system for marketing teams, on that bet, and this role is the proof.

Our customers' journey with Runneth runs from first chat to Runneth being woven into how their whole team works. We measure that journey in usage depth, and we shorten it by building packages: repeatable, installable setups that make Runneth genuinely useful from day one. As our Solutions Engineer, you'll build those packages with a focused group of customers, prove what works, then scale it.

It's a unique mix of relationship building, marketing, and technical problem solving. Initially, you'll lean heavily into hands-on adoption and use case building. As that work matures, the role may lean further into customer success and ongoing relationship ownership, while continuing to stay close to the technical work, jumping back into building as the needs of Runneth and our customers evolve.

What you'll be doing

  • Build the packages that take a customer from their first Runneth chat to Runneth running across their whole team
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to ensure technical blockers are solved to successfully launch the packages
  • Work closely with our CS team to understand what customers need and translate those learnings into new use cases to build and test
  • Ensure we dogfood our own product by supporting our internal marketing team (content, creative strategy, and growth) on their specific use cases
  • Collaborate with influencers partners so they can successfully adopt Runneth leading to positive word of mouth
  • As the role evolves, take on more ongoing customer relationship and adoption responsibilities while staying close to hands-on building

Our ideal fit brings

  • A unique combination of skills: Strong customer relationship skills, technical aptitude to get hands-on with AI tools, and enough marketing knowledge to understand paid social and creative strategy (or the learning speed to pick it up).
  • Strong relationship skills: You're a people person at heart. You know how to build trust, ask the right questions to understand what customers and internal team members actually need, and work alongside them to get to a great outcome
  • High agency and curiosity: Excited about doing whatever it takes to get the job done - can easily flow from conversations with the dev team to translating this to customer needs
  • AI skills: You build with AI, you don't just use it
  • Comfort wearing multiple hats: Some periods will lean more heavily into customer relationships, others into hands-on building and problem-solving. You're comfortable leaning in wherever you're most needed

What you'll love about Motion

  • Competitive compensation package: We offer competitive compensation, including equity for all employees, health benefits from day one, a monthly health and lifestyle stipend to support your well-being, 20 days of PTO, and a $1,500 work-from-home stipend.
  • Remote-first with hybrid flexibility: We're a remote-first company with team members spanning Canada, the U.S., and beyond, but also have office spaces in four main hubs, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Porto, for optional hybrid work.
  • Growth that speaks for itself: Motion has strong product-market fit, 2.5x YoY growth, second-time founders with deep industry knowledge, and $30M in Series B funding to fuel our momentum.
  • Opportunity for impact: You'll be joining at an especially exciting moment for Runneth, with the chance to directly shape how customers adopt the product and how we scale what works.
  • Award-winning team: We're a low-ego, high-performing team that was just ranked #19 on G2's list of Best Canadian Software Companies for 2026.
  • Team connection:
  • Virtual: Day-to-day, we use Roam, an AI-powered virtual office platform that makes spontaneous collaboration, quick chats, and working sessions easy across our remote team.
  • In-person: Outside of the option to work from one of our offices, our team gets together for a team offsite once a year, plus a company retreat every summer.

We closed out 2024 with a $30M Series B raise and strong signals from our customers. In 2025, we built the foundational capabilities our customers rely on, setting the stage for what's to come. In 2026, we're building forward from that foundation, taking what we learned to market in a deeply AI-native way.

The direction is clearer, the stakes are higher, and there's a lot left to build.

🌎 A note on location: We're looking to hire someone based in Canada or the United States, but are open to exceptional candidates in other locations. If this position excites you and you believe you'd be a strong fit, we encourage you to apply!
