Most AI projects fail not because the technology doesn’t work, but because they solve the wrong problem, which usually means no one took the time to understand what is actually slowing a team down or what would genuinely improve how they work.
This role is about fixing that: identifying the real bottleneck in a client’s content workflow, designing something people will actually use, and building it fast enough to have an impact.
You’ll work with enterprise marketing teams on how they brief, produce, localise, and publish content, and your job is to spot where time is lost, where quality drops, and where AI or automation can remove friction.
Your value isn’t the tools you know, but how you decide what’s worth fixing, what isn’t, and what the simplest solution is that already improves the situation.
Then you build it yourself — usually as an automated process, an AI agent, or a small internal tool.
You’ll work directly with our AI Lead and CPO, who are currently building faster than they can scale, which means there’s more work than they can take on.

Contentoo is a content company based in Amsterdam, working with 300+ enterprise clients such as Riverty, Action, and Team.blue, and supporting marketing teams in producing content across multiple markets and languages.
We combine AI agents with expert freelancers to manage the full workflow, from brief to delivery, while keeping quality consistent.
We already use AI in our own workflows and build AI solutions for clients, and we’re expanding that across more of the business. In practice, that means:

What works for one client becomes something we can reuse for others
Our view is simple: generic AI produces generic content, and the advantage lies in knowing what “good” looks like for each client and in building systems that deliver it consistently.
You own the full cycle, from first conversation to a working solution that is actually used, without handoffs between thinking and building.
You join client calls, identify the real bottleneck (not just what’s being said), decide what’s worth solving, and build the solution yourself as an automation, agent, or small tool.
Once something is live, you make sure people actually use it, and you look for patterns that can be reused across clients so successful solutions don’t stay isolated.
You also improve internal AI tools and work with Product and Engineering to turn proven solutions into platform features.
We’re looking for two things in one person.
First, judgment: you quickly understand what’s really going on in a client situation, form clear opinions about what should be built, and explain those decisions to both business and technical stakeholders.
Second, the ability to build: you don’t wait for specs, but use tools like GPT or Claude APIs, automation platforms such as n8n, and rapid prototyping to create working solutions yourself.
Most people are strong in one of these areas, but this role requires both.
Your background could be in strategy, product, digital transformation, or technical implementation, or you might have become the AI person in your last company and want to focus on it full-time.
You’ll be building real things that are used by real teams, both internally and by clients, rather than working on abstract plans or long roadmaps.
There is no established playbook for AI-driven content operations yet, which means the way you approach problems and the solutions you build will directly shape how this part of the business develops.
