Job Description

AI Solutions Analyst

As an AI Solutions Analyst, you will play an important role in designing, building, testing, supporting, and governing AI-enabled solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Copilot Studio agents, and Azure AI services. The role combines hands-on solution delivery with platform stewardship, ensuring solutions are practical, secure, well-governed, and sustainable as adoption grows. You will support the full solution lifecycle, from understanding business needs and developing fit-for-purpose applications and agents to coordinating UAT, confirming access and ownership, managing configuration and cost considerations, and maintaining visibility into what exists and how it is used. This role suits someone who can build credibly, think responsibly about risk and governance, and work collaboratively with business stakeholders to drive adoption. Success means delivering AI solutions people trust and continue to use, returning measurable time to the business, and helping maintain a healthy, scalable platform as adoption expands.

This position may be based in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, or Winnipeg.

What You Will Be Working On

  1. AI-Driven Automation & Agent Development
  • Design, build, and optimize conversational agents and multi-agent solutions in Microsoft Copilot Studio, including topics, actions, knowledge sources, grounding strategies, and hand-off logic for enterprise business scenarios.
  • Connect agents to enterprise content, Power Automate flows, APIs, and custom connectors to enable end-to-end business actions and intelligent automation.
  • Leverage AI Builder, generative AI capabilities, and Azure AI services to develop solutions that classify, extract, summarize, route, and process information while reducing manual effort.
  • Build and maintain Power Automate cloud flows supporting multi-system business processes, including exception handling, retry logic, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve agent and automation performance using usage metrics, accuracy rates, user feedback, and operational insights.
  • Diagnose and resolve solution issues related to performance, throttling, capacity, and platform limitations across Power Platform and connected services.
  1. Application Development
  • Design, build, and support Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages solutions from requirements discovery through deployment and post-release support.
  • Translate complex or ambiguous business requirements into scalable solution designs, including application architecture, data models, security models, and integration patterns.
  • Leverage AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot and generative AI services, to develop applications that solve real-world business problems and improve user productivity.
  • Develop reusable components, templates, and development patterns that promote consistency, scalability, and adoption across the team.
  1. Testing & UAT
  • Own solution testing, including test case definition, functional validation, integration testing, and requirements confirmation.
  • Plan and facilitate UAT with business users, including scenarios, test data, coordination, and session support.
  • Manage defects and feedback through resolution, distinguishing release blockers from future enhancements.
  • Secure formal go-live sign-off and support deployment, stabilization, and early adoption.
  1. Solution Governance & Review
  • Perform structured pre-release reviews of AI and low-code solutions to validate data access, user permissions, functional scope, business ownership, and operational readiness.
  • Validate that data security controls and role-based access permissions are in place before integration or deployment to reduce oversharing risk and support secure, compliant solution delivery.
  • Contribute to QA standards, release checklists, and responsible AI guidance that promote consistent testing, governance, and continuous improvement.
  1. Platform Operations & Observability
  • Monitor licensing and consumption across Power Platform and AI services to identify cost, capacity, and usage trends.
  • Support daily Power Platform operations, including tenant administration, environments, requests, capacity, and access.
  • Maintain approved DLP policies, connector controls, and environment standards with security and platform stakeholders.
  • Maintain portfolio inventory and ownership records for applications, flows, and AI agents, including purpose, status, usage, and risk reporting.
  1. Business Partnership & Enablement
  • Serve as an early advisory contact for teams exploring AI new solutions, guiding them toward appropriate design, governance, and delivery pathways.
  • Deliver training, demonstrations, and office hours to support effective solution development and adoption.
  • Maintain accessible guidance, templates, and checklists that promote consistent, effective practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and administering enterprise solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse), with 2+ years of experience delivering AI-powered solutions using the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
  • Hands-on experience delivering AI solutions using Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or similar Microsoft AI technologies in production environments.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, standard and custom connectors, and enterprise data sources such as SharePoint and SQL Server.
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to explain risk and requirements in plain language to non-technical audiences.
  • A genuine team player who is approachable, collaborative, and skilled at partnering with business stakeholders to enable successful outcomes.
