Are you passionate about software development, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies?

Metro Finance is seeking ambitious graduates to join our 12-month AI & Software Engineering Graduate Program, designed to develop the next generation of software, data and AI professionals.

This program provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across software engineering, quality assurance, AI engineering and data platforms while working on real business problems that impact customers, brokers and internal teams.

About the Program

The program is structured in two phases designed to provide both strong engineering foundations and exposure to emerging AI technologies.

Phase 1 – Software Engineering & Quality Assurance

During your first six months, you'll work alongside our Development and QA teams, learning how enterprise software is designed, built, tested and deployed.

You'll gain experience in:

• Software development and coding
• Agile delivery methodologies
• Quality assurance and testing
• API and systems integration
• Application support and troubleshooting
• Working within cross-functional technology teams

Phase 2 – AI Engineering & Data

During the second six months, you'll join Metro's AI, Architecture and Data team where you'll gain exposure to:

• AI and machine learning solutions
• Data engineering and data pipelines
• Data quality and governance
• Automation and workflow optimisation
• Cloud-based data platforms
• Emerging AI technologies within financial services

What You'll Learn

Throughout the program you'll develop skills in:

You'll also collaborate with Product, Operations and Technology teams across the business to understand how technology drives innovation and business outcomes.

About You

We're looking for curious problem-solvers who enjoy technology and continuous learning.

You may be completing or have recently completed a degree in:

• Computer Science
• Software Engineering
• Information Technology
• Artificial Intelligence
• Data Science
• Computer Engineering
• Mathematics
• Or a related discipline

You'll also demonstrate:

No prior industry experience is required.
