Job Description

GenAI Software Developer, Device Software

In this position, you will play a key role in accelerating safe, practical, and value-adding adoption of generative AI across our R&D organization. Working hands-on with teams, ARTs, and functions, you will help transform how we work by embedding GenAI into everyday engineering and knowledge workflows.

The role requires the ability to understand and navigate challenges and see GenAI opportunities across highly diverse teams, spanning disciplines, processes, from early concepting to production.

Part of a highly motivated enablement team

The team will be in the Device Software (DSW) department within our R&D organization. DSW is responsible for developing, integrating, and delivering all software running on Demant’s hearing instruments and accessories, spanning audiology‑related software, embedded firmware, connectivity, shared platforms, quality‑critical processes, and large‑scale SAFe‑based delivery. You will be part of the department’s dedicated GenAI Enabling Team.

The team is launched as a new initiative, and your voice will matter from day one. You will help shape how we work, influence what we prioritize, and how we make the team valuable, visible, and attractive to both stakeholders and colleagues.

Your key responsibilities

  • Enable teams and individuals to use approved generative AI tools and workflows in daily work.
  • Identify, prototype, and help implement GenAI use cases that reduce time-to-complete or improve quality or effectiveness.
  • Support context engineering, lightweight prototyping, connectors, and practical enablers for AI adoption.
  • Coach and support teams through hands-on guidance, workshops, and practical training.
  • Help make local data and knowledge AI-ready in line with architecture and governance standards.
  • Ensure GenAI initiatives follow agreed security, IP, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Share learnings, adoption barriers, and best practices across the organization.

Your profile

We imagine that you have

  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools in a professional engineering or knowledge-work context.
  • Strong understanding of context engineering and how to structure information for effective AI use.
  • Ability to evaluate and compare GenAI tools with respect to value, integration effort, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to work across teams and translate complex challenges into practical opportunities.
  • Experience enabling others through coaching, training, or hands-on support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to connect real work challenges with AI-supported solutions.
  • Experience and are comfortable working in agile environments and across teams without formal authority.

It will be an advantage to have strong communication skills and being curious towards your colleague’s responsibility areas. You find it natural to follow trends and developments within generative AI.

We believe in a good life

We trust and value professionalism, experience, and commitment. We believe that sustainable high performance requires balance, flexibility, and care for life outside work. You will join a collaborative environment where learning, experimentation, and responsible AI adoption are central.

Ready to become part of the team?

If yes, send a motivated cover letter and CV no later than May 18th, 2026. Final interview are planned for May 27th, 2026
