Job Description

This role is critical to the success of the Cyber AI Security Program, ensuring we can securely scale AI capabilities while addressing a rapidly evolving threat landscape that traditional controls do not fully cover. As AI adoption accelerates across the firm, the absence of a dedicated leader for AI security creates a material gap in governance, increasing exposure to regulatory, data privacy, and model integrity risks. This position will establish the enterprise-wide strategy, controls, and monitoring required to protect AI systems end-to-end reducing risks such as adversarial attacks, model misuse, and data leakage. It will also enable proactive alignment with emerging global regulations, helping avoid compliance exposure and costly remediation. Ultimately, this role is foundational to enabling trusted AI innovation while safeguarding the firm's reputation, client trust, and regulatory standing. Key Responsibilities:

AI Security Strategy & Governance

Develop and lead the enterprise-wide AI security strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.

Establish governance frameworks for secure AI development, deployment, and monitoring, including model risk management and data privacy.

Threat Intelligence & Risk Management

Identify and mitigate emerging threats specific to AI/ML systems, including adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model inversion, and prompt injection.

Conduct AI-specific threat modeling and risk assessments across platforms and use cases.

Policy, Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

Ensure compliance with global AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Collaborate with legal, compliance, and data ethics teams to define responsible AI practices.

Security Architecture & Operations

Oversee the design and implementation of secure architectures for AI platforms, including LLMs, MLOps pipelines, and data lakes.

Partner with engineering and DevSecOps teams to embed security into AI/ML workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Incident Response & Monitoring

Lead AI-specific incident response planning and execution, including model misuse, data leakage, and unauthorized access.

Implement monitoring tools for model behavior, drift, and anomalous activity.

Leadership & Collaboration

Build and lead a high-performing AI security team.

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on AI risk, resilience, and innovation.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML systems or platforms.

Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, architectures, and associated security risks.

Experience with cloud-native AI platforms (e.g., Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI).

Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, model interpretability, and data ethics.

Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to AI and data privacy.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.

Preferred Certifications:

CISSP, CISM, or CCISO

Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP) or equivalent

Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) with AI/ML specialization
