As an AI Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work at the intersection of data, technology, and business, helping our clients turn complexity into clarity and insights into impact. You will join a high-impact Integration Team within a banking/brokerage environment.
The Team is responsible for identifying and resolving compatibility issues, communication errors, and data corruption to ensure smooth and reliable software integration You will play a critical role in reducing risk by catching defects early, validating interface behaviours against design specifications, and maintaining system integrity through automated regression testing.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an international environment and contribute to projects that drive performance, innovation, and sustainable growth

💵 Compensation: 22k - 25k€ gross/year

In this role, you will:
Design and execute comprehensive integration test plans, including automated testing strategies
Use AI tools to automate test case generation, defect detection, and regression testing
Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve integration issues, incorporating AI-driven insights where relevant
Validate AI components within trading platforms and apply machine learning models to predict failures and optimise testing coverage
Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes through systematic regression testing
Produce detailed testing reports, metrics, risk assessments, and AI-driven insights
Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and mentor junior QA engineers
Promote AI-powered testing practices and share knowledge across teams
Operating in complex banking/brokerage integration environments
You are expected to balance delivery quality with pragmatism
Applying AI-driven testing approaches in mission-critical financial systems
Autonomy increases with seniority — so does responsibility
Working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment
Minimum 3 years of experience testing backend or middleware applications
Strong experience in integration and regression testing as well as middleware and backend testing
Proven experience in root cause analysis (log analysis, diagnostic tools, collaboration with development teams)
Hands-on experience with AI/ML testing tools (automated test generation, anomaly detection, predictive testing)
Strong experience in Linux environments (shell commands, scripting, process management, troubleshooting)
Experience in banking or brokerage systems (strongly preferred)
Experience with test automation using Python
Strong analytical and reporting/ risk assessment skills
Fluency in English (Bilingual level)
Must be a Portuguese or European citizen, or hold a valid work permit for Portugal
French (Intermediate level)
Experience mentoring junior QA engineers
Exposure to AI/ML validation within trading platforms
Experience working in international or consulting environments
