AI Programme Manager
Lead the operational delivery of Beca’s AI Programme, ensuring alignment, momentum, and performance across a broad portfolio of initiatives.
Act as deputy to the Programme Sponsor, representing the programme in forums and maintaining continuity across initiatives.
Drive programme governance, reporting, and funding processes to support strong delivery outcomes and informed decision-making.
Tewhiwhingamahi | The opportunity
You will provide operational programme leadership across Beca’s AI Programme, supporting the coordination and delivery of a broad portfolio of initiatives spanning capability, governance, adoption, and experimentation.
Working closely with the Group Head of Innovation Investment & Artificial Intelligence (Programme Sponsor), you will hold the programme together operationally — maintaining a clear view of progress, managing governance and reporting processes, and ensuring initiatives continue to move forward together. You will act as a trusted deputy, representing the Programme Sponsor where required and ensuring that delivery is not constrained by leadership bandwidth.
This role combines programme management discipline with strong stakeholder engagement, requiring you to operate confidently across business groups, initiative leads, and senior stakeholders. You will help shape how the programme operates, while supporting teams to deliver outcomes and build sustainable capability.
This is a two-year fixed-term opportunity established to support the implementation of Beca’s AI Programme.

You will bring experience managing complex programmes or portfolios, ideally within digital transformation, technology, or advisory environments. You are comfortable operating across multiple initiatives, balancing strategic oversight with operational detail.
You will be known for building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and maintaining momentum in complex environments. You take ownership for delivery, make sound judgements, and know when to escalate.
Experience with programme governance, funding frameworks, and benefits tracking is important. A working understanding of AI and its organisational implications will support your ability to engage credibly with initiative leads.
