The role

You will deliver and improve UniSuper’s Internal Developer Platform, Kubernetes capabilities and reusable engineering patterns. You will support application and delivery teams to build, deploy and operate services safely and consistently, while improving self-service and reducing manual platform support.

  • Deliver self-service capabilities, golden-path templates, environment provisioning and developer onboarding workflows
  • Improve reusable platform patterns and support application teams to onboard workloads
  • Deliver Kubernetes platform services across Azure Kubernetes Service and related cloud environments
  • Support infrastructure automation, platform reliability, upgrades, resilience testing and operational readiness
  • Contribute to pipeline templates, deployment workflows, security gates and continuous delivery standards
  • Analyse operational data, incident trends, developer feedback and adoption measures to improve reliability and developer experience

About you

Your technical expertise will support secure, reliable and automated platform solutions in a regulated environment. You solve complex engineering problems, contribute confidently across teams and improve outcomes through clear documentation and practical collaboration.

  • Strong platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering or software engineering background
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Experience with internal developer platforms, golden paths, self-service provisioning or reusable platform modules
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code capability using Terraform or equivalent tooling
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration and delivery, GitOps, cloud-native deployment and Azure
  • Experience with observability, secure integration design and production-grade code and automation
