Job Description

You've stumbled upon the rare B Corp government contractor! At TCG, we aim to prove that businesses can be good to their employees and responsible to their community, all while being profitable. In anticipation of an upcoming award, we are seeking an AI Platform Architect.

This is an innovative, high end project for a pilot program to develop a Large Language Model (LLM), Generative AI application for a highly visible government agency.

This is a Full Time, Short Term position and requires the candidate to be a US Citizen and hold an existing Federal Security Clearance, either a Secret or Top Secret Clearance.

This is a primarily remote position but will require occasional onsite meetings in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will live within commuting distance of Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for mission-critical government applications.
  • Build and optimize Large Language Model (LLM) and Generative AI applications.
  • Owns target architecture and technical decisions across Postgres/object storage, agentic runtime, inference gateway, APIs, identity, observability and hosting portability.
  • Schedule and communicate status and expectations with stakeholders
  • Manage the integration project and communications plans
  • Enterprise data assessment of the as-is architecture and recommendation of to-be data architecture
  • Comprehensive enterprise data analysis to include data alignment to applications and technologies
  • Gap analysis for any architectural inconsistencies and broken components
  • Recommend appropriate AI data governance, architecture, security, data tools, migration strategy, and data lifecycle management solutions
  • Establish and implement an integration project plan to include data migration strategies and risk and impact analysis
  • Support the Federal Product Owner in backlog prioritization and development of a product roadmap
  • Conduct discovery and user requirements-gathering sessions with end-users
  • Act as liaison between customer, stakeholders, Delivery/Program Manager and development team

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 15 years of general IT experience including architecture experience
  • Experience developing Generative AI and Large Language Model applications
  • Experience with API/Security Architecture
  • Experience deploying AI application in AWS/GovCloud/Azure Government
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Scripting Experience with Python and Java
  • Experience with FedRAMP/FISMA
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodology and documentation
  • Professional, client-ready written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

Salary: $170,000-$185,000 commensurate with experience as judged through the interview process.
