You’ll join a global engineering team solving complex problems at significant scale. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how artificial intelligence is designed, governed and used across HSBC, with real influence over architecture, engineering standards and product direction.
Our team consists of around 50 engineers across the UK, India, Poland and China. We’re growing our engineering capability in China and are looking for an experienced engineer to work as a senior technical contributor within one of our engineering pods.
As an Associate Director, Software Engineering, you’ll operate as an individual contributor, designing and delivering significant capabilities for HSBC Productivity Suite. You’ll take complex requirements from initial definition through coding, testing, release and production operation.
This is not a formal people-management role. You’ll spend most of your time on hands-on engineering while providing practical technical direction, removing delivery blockers and mentoring other engineers in the pod.
