
[What the role is]
The AI Office is MAS’ central coordinating unit to steer the strategic, responsible and effective adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the Authority.
[What you will be working on]
We are looking for a forward-thinking individual to join the team as AI Project Portfolio and Technology Manager. In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to:
Drive AI Strategy and Governance Develop MAS-wide AI strategy and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Oversee Strategic AI Initiatives Identify, prioritise, and manage high-impact AI projects that enhance MAS' regulatory, supervisory, and operational effectiveness whilst ensuring strategic alignment and compliance.
Shape AI Architecture Strengthen AI ecosystem across MAS by promoting common platforms, frameworks, and standards. Perform technical reviews of emerging AI technologies against organisational needs.
Embed Responsible AI Practices Operationalise policies ensuring AI projects meet ethics, transparency, accountability, and risk management standards. Stay current with AI related regulations.
Foster Collaboration and Innovation Build bridges between AI specialists, technology teams, and policy functions to ensure sound governance. Promote responsible AI adoption culture.
Establish Monitoring and Improvement Implement oversight mechanisms to track AI performance, ensure policy alignment, and drive continuous improvement. Report regularly to senior management.
Build Organisational Readiness Raise AI awareness through training programmes and support departments in developing AI literacy and change management capabilities.
[What we are looking for]
10-15 years of experience in project management, particularly in AI or technology-related fields within public service and/or financial services sector
Proficiency in project and product management methodologies, tools, and certifications, with experience in strategic planning for technology projects
Strong understanding of AI technologies, their applications, and the associated regulatory landscape in Singapore, with demonstrated ability to conduct technical assessments and evaluations of AI systems and solutions
Excellent knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks, with the ability to enforce AI governance policies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, balancing technical and business considerations, with demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into strategic implementation plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and drive consensus across technical and business teams
Demonstrated experience in leading organisational change initiatives and building technical capabilities within complex environments
Track record of fostering innovation whilst maintaining robust governance and risk management standards
This is a 2-year contract position. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
