This role involves collaborating with multiple teams to develop highly accurate cost models and negotiation toolsets, aimed at optimizing expenditure and maximizing efficiency across our operations. We are seeking an experienced, versatile and customer obsessed AI & MI Solutions Specialist who will be responsible for driving cost engineering and digital optimization initiatives in one or several procurement categories (for example Packaging, Services, Robotics, material handling equipment or CAPEX, Freight). The ideal candidate has experience in procurement/cost engineering with added experience in data and digital innovation. Alternatively, the candidate is a mechanical engineer with industrial expertise and a deep understanding of cost drivers and ideally experience in supplier negotiations.

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal customers to investigate and identify product innovations and design-to-cost initiatives with the ultimate target to achieve cost improvement
• Communicate with and support management decisions by providing appropriate cost information
• Develop overall procurement cost-engineering roadmap and establish should-costing for one or several procurement categories
• Utilize costing methodologies and appropriate software tools to prepare reliable bottom-up cost models and should-cost targets during design, specification and development process in close collaboration with category managers, engineering and construction
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive product innovations, value engineering initiatives, and continuous cost improvement strategies.
• Develop and enhance specification templates with category managers to standardize and streamline procurement processes.
• Track and report cost engineering KPIs and scorecards to assess supplier performance, strengthen business partnerships, and track cost improvement goals.
• Provide summaries of cost analysis findings to management to support decision-making.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience in project or program management
- Experience in Supply Chain Management
- Experience in a procurement organization performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document, or experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings
- Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in SQL Server/MySQL
