AI Innovation Coordinator
Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Start Date: June 2026
We are looking for an AI Innovation Coordinator to lead and structure AI initiatives across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. You will act as the central link between business, IT, architecture, governance, and external partners, ensuring AI use cases are not only identified but also successfully delivered and integrated.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, combining architecture expertise, AI knowledge, and strong coordination capabilities within the Belgian energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate end-to-end AI and innovation initiatives across internal teams and external partners
Act as the central liaison between business, IT, architecture, security, and governance
Structure and prioritize AI use cases based on value, feasibility, and risk
Scout and assess AI technologies, platforms, and market developments
Ensure availability and setup of AI tools, platforms, and data environments
Establish and monitor governance, security, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, NIS2, EU AI Act)
Support development of business cases for AI initiatives
Ensure alignment with enterprise, data, and solution architecture
Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies and report to the Innovation Steering Group
Drive training, awareness, and knowledge sharing on AI within the organization
Requirements

8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect
Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Belgian energy market
Experience coordinating AI or innovation initiatives in complex environments
Strong knowledge of AI concepts (Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, etc.)
Experience with security and compliance frameworks (GDPR, NIS2, EU AI Act)
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and modeling (TOGAF, Archimate, UML, etc.)
Deep knowledge of energy market processes (DSO/TSO, BRPs, MIG/UMIG, etc.)
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
Fluent in Dutch or French (C1) with good knowledge of the other language
Nice to Have
Experience with AI platforms and LLM ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI, Copilot, Gemini, Claude)
Experience with AI agents or agentic workflows
Experience with model benchmarking
Experience in training, coaching, and driving adoption of new technologies

Full-time role (100%)
Hybrid working model (Brussels-based, ~2 days on-site)
Contract until June 2027, with possible extension
