Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in project management or philanthropy.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with technical teams and analyzing data to uncover actionable insights.
  • Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams with high accuracy and speed.
  • Deep-seated passion for social impact and the philanthropic mission of Google organization.
  • Demonstrated excellence in fostering partnerships across various organizational levels and functions.
  • Ability to master new domains quickly and operate separately within ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for internal and external audiences.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$166,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Bridge scientific breakthroughs with practical applications by managing grant approvals, impact evaluations, and portfolio strategy for nonprofit partners.
  • Drive flagship programs like AI Collaboratives through project management, convening logistics, and daily grantee support.
  • Develop slide decks and press releases while partnering with marketing teams to amplify grantee impact and team initiatives.
  • Identify and expand shown AI tools to create systemic change in critical sectors like health and sustainability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, helping partners responsibly adopt advanced technologies while staying current on the broader social impact ecosystem.
