Disclaimer / Policy Statements

UBS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We respect and seek to empower each individual and support the diverse cultures, perspectives, skills and experiences within our workforce.

The team

You will join UBS’s electronic trading team – a dynamic and highly technical group at the forefront of innovation in automated FX and rates trading. We operate in a collaborative, agile environment that prioritises continuous improvement and rapid deployment of strategies. The team is diverse and global, combining deep expertise in data analysis, software development, and quantitative finance. You can expect a challenging yet supportive atmosphere: we are passionate about tackling complex problems, we value intellectual curiosity, and we strive for excellence and integrity in everything we do

Your skills and experience

• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
•Quantitative & Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a degree in a quantitative field.
•Programming Proficiency: Good programming skills in any language (hands-on experience with data analysis and scientific libraries). Ability to write clean, efficient code is a must.
•Technical Aptitude: A passion for technology and data-driven decision making. Comfortable handling large datasets and performing rigorous statistical analysis.
•Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently, taking initiative to drive projects forward without constant supervision. Ready to take on real ownership of deliverables in a trading environment.
•Communication: communication skills – able to understand complex business and technical problems, and articulate solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Teamwork: interpersonal skills. A collaborative team player who can build positive working relationships and is unafraid to ask questions or respectfully challenge ideas.
•Software Engineering Practices: Experience in a professional software development environment (use of version control, testing frameworks, code reviews, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines) and proficiency with additional programming languages (especially Java or C++ for low-latency systems) are plus points.
•Financial Markets Exposure: Prior exposure to FX, rates, or STIR markets – for example, knowledge of FX swaps/forwards, interest rate derivatives or cash, or yield curve construction – is an advantage (but not a strict requirement).
•Electronic Trading & Tools: Experience working with electronic trading systems or market data infrastructure (e.g. understanding of order book dynamics, FIX protocol, KDB/time-series databases).

UBS works with individuals, families, institutions, and corporations around the world to help answer some of life's questions – whether through award winning wealth management advisory, investment banking and asset management expertise, or private and corporate banking services in Switzerland*. In June 2023, Credit Suisse became a UBS Group company.

With our large and diverse team operating internationally, we have a presence in all major financial centers in more than 50 countries. Although we all come from different backgrounds and specializations, two things unite us: the conviction that we’re stronger together, and the will and curiosity to constantly innovate. That’s the key to us unlocking our full potential (and what we look for in everyone who joins us). It’s also why we’re regularly recognized as an attractive employer.*
