Your team
As an AI Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our platform by bringing cutting-edge NLP and LLM capabilities into our products. This role is based in Mannheim, where you'll collaborate with a talented, forward-thinking team. We embrace a hybrid work model, with three days a week in the office.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative AI services to enhance the user experience across our global SaaS portfolio.
• Build, fine-tune, and deploy NLP and LLM applications (e.g., entity resolution, intelligent search, document understanding).
• Optimize provisioning of AI services for performance and scalability across a growing international customer base.
• Leverage observability tools and user/system data to generate actionable insights and continuously improve platform intelligence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven features into modern, cloud-native applications.

Your Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the AI field
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with key Python packages for machine learning and data science.
• Production experience with NLP solutions, including transformer-based models, entity recognition, and classification tasks.
• Practical knowledge of LLMs, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and structured output generation.
• Containerization expertise using Docker or similar tools for model packaging, deployment, and scalability.

Nice to have

• Exposure to multi-lingual NLP or handling diverse text data.
• Previous work on ESG or compliance-related applications is a plus.
• Recent hands-on experience with modern NLP approaches is highly valued—even if this isn’t your primary specializations.
