Job Summary

As our AI Engineer, you'll own the BOXABL data platform on Azure: the one place where all company data lands, stays in sync and is safe to use. It powers Power BI, our Sales Intelligence app, and the AI tools our team uses every day, including GrokBot agents, Claude, OpenAI and Microsoft Copilot.

You'll keep it running, connect new systems to it, and make sure AI only touches the data it should. If you want to put AI to work on a real factory, real customers and real homes, this is your seat.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Run the Azure data platform

• Own uptime, monitoring and alerting (Azure Monitor), backups, incident response and monthly Azure cost.

Own the integrations

• Build and maintain data feeds from HubSpot, NetSuite, Tulip, OpenBOM / Oracle PLM, Stripe, Aircall, GA4 and PostHog.
• Keep HubSpot and NetSuite in sync: customers, orders and deposits reconcile every day.
• Fix data written by AI or voice agents before it pollutes HubSpot.

Deliver trusted data

• Model the core datasets: sales funnel, deposits, sales orders and post-sale delivery.
• Administer Power BI workspaces, datasets and data sources.

Put AI on the data, safely

• Connect GrokBot agents, Claude, OpenAI and Microsoft Copilot to approved platform data instead of manual exports.
• Build retrieval and agent workflows with business teams; keep the AI Agent Register current.
• Monitor what agents read and write, especially outreach bots working in Microsoft 365 and HubSpot.

Secure it

• Manage access through Entra ID (Azure AD) SSO, role-based access and least privilege.
• Support SOC 2: access reviews, audit logs, change management and documented runbooks.
• Enforce Boxabl's AI acceptable use policy: no company or customer data in unapproved tools.

Qualifications: Experience and Education

Required

• 4+ years in data or platform engineering, 2+ running production workloads on Azure.
• Strong SQL and Python.
• Built and maintained API integrations with HubSpot, NetSuite or similar CRM / ERP systems.
• Shipped at least one production app on LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude or similar).
• Entra ID, role-based access and secrets management on Azure.
• CI/CD with GitHub; infrastructure as code.
• Owns incidents calmly and explains trade-offs to non-technical teams.

Preferred

• Power BI data modeling and administration.
• Manufacturing or MES data (Tulip or similar).
• SOC 2 audit experience.
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 or AI-102.

The Azure services for the target platform will be chosen with this hire.

First 90 days

• Day 30: Map every pipeline, integration and AI agent that touches company data. Alerts live on critical jobs.
• Day 60: HubSpot and NetSuite reconcile daily. One trusted sales-order and deposits dataset in Power BI. Azure cost baseline published.
• Day 90: One AI use case reading governed platform data in production.

Success looks like: data refreshed on schedule, HubSpot and NetSuite matching, fewer data incidents, and AI tools using the platform instead of exports.
