Join us as an AI Engineer at Barclays, innovation isn’t just encouraged; it’s expected. You will be required to have an experience in SOLD Simplification. It is a multiyear initiative to make the platform compliant to most valuable environment, hardware refresh and removing redundant functionalities. You will be required to lead the overall engineering & development of this initiative. You will be an AI Engineering and required to coordinate & support requirement Discovery, initiative & delivery planning, roadmap and stakeholder management.
To be successful as a JR-0000111867 AI Engineer, you should have experience with:
Strong full-stack engineering expertise using either Python or Java, including Python with FastAPI/Django or Java with Spring Boot, together with modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular or TypeScript.
Hands-on delivery of Generative AI solutions, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, vector databases and agentic AI workflows.
Designing secure, scalable enterprise applications, using microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, relational or NoSQL databases, authentication and enterprise integration patterns.
Cloud-native engineering and DevSecOps, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, resilience, application security and production support.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
AI framework experience across Python or Java ecosystems, such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Spring AI or LangChain4j.
MLOps and LLMOps knowledge, including prompt and model versioning, automated evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, performance optimisation and cost management.
Experience integrating AI with enterprise platforms and data sources, including APIs, messaging systems, knowledge repositories, workflow tools and internal developer platforms.
Financial services or payments engineering experience, with an understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, regulatory compliance and delivery across multiple countries.
