The Position
Athens Technology Center is looking for a qualified AI Engineer to join our AI team. You will be a member of a cross-functional Agile team consisting of AI/ML engineers, software developers and DevOps specialists. You will be involved in designing, deploying, maintaining and optimizing AI/ML solutions in the scope of both applied research and commercial projects.
This includes working with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and traditional Machine Learning techniques to develop intelligent systems for various applications.
Responsibilities
- Implement and test scalable AI/ML solutions in backend environments, ensuring integration with existing systems.
- Design, develop, and optimize AI/ML systems tailored to business needs.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational workflows to support AI-driven applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, and classical ML, identifying opportunities to apply them in research and commercial projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI/LLMs, traditional Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
- Strong understanding of modern API design and RESTful principles for AI system integration.
- Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to document and present technical concepts effectively.
Additional experience in any of the following fields is a plus
- Specialized knowledge in cutting-edge AI technologies, including LLMs and multi-agent systems, demonstrating a commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements.
- Hands-on experience with Transformers and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for AI-driven search and knowledge retrieval.
- Relevant experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
- Prior experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized AI deployments.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
