About the Role

Kongsberg Digital is building the AI-first future of industry We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong computer science foundations and proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end AI solutions The ideal candidate has solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design, coupled with experience integrating AI into modern web platforms and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI-powered features such as copilots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), search and other AI capabilities.

• Build efficient end-to-end pipelines that handle large-scale industrial data with reliability and low latency.

• Integrate AI services into the Digital Twin ecosystem, ensuring seamless operator experiences.

• Apply strong problem-solving skills to optimize models and workflows for performance, efficiency, and robustness

• Collaborate with AI researchers, product teams, and domain experts to translate concepts into production-ready solutions

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI-first industrial platform by writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with bachelor’s / master’s in computer science , Engineering, or related field

• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and system design

• Professional experience building and deploying AI/ML-driven solutions.

• Ability to design and implement scalable APIs and services within modern full-stack environments (MEAN stack experience is a strong plus) and for mobile as well.

• Knowledge of search, optimization, and applied AI techniques such as anomaly detection, recommendation, and natural language interaction.

• Strong problem-solving mindset, with ability to balance theoretical rigor and practical deployment needs

• Experience in Industrial domains is a plus.
