Purpose

The AI Enablement Specialist (Community Coordinator) is a key member of the AI Enablement organization responsible for building, sustaining, and accelerating a collaborative and vibrant AI community. This role develops, implements, and maintains knowledgesharing and enablement programs focused on AI, including generative AI, analytics, data platforms, and automation, while ensuring employees across the company can confidently adopt and apply AI capabilities.

The Specialist possesses a strong understanding of AI concepts and can translate complex technical information into engaging, accessible training and enablement experiences. This role partners closely with AI subject matter experts to design learning toolkits, demos, and training materials that support business users and analysts in developing AI solutions aligned with enterprise platforms, processes, and standards.

A core focus of this position is delivering scalable enablement: coordinating requests, creating training materials and agendas, supporting learning initiatives, and ensuring employees have the guidance needed to use approved AI tools effectively. The Specialist also works directly with business customers to understand their needs, provide guidance on AI tools and techniques, and empower them to successfully adopt AI in their own workflows.

Additionally, the Specialist helps drive continuous improvement of all training and enablement programs by evaluating effectiveness, gathering insights, and contributing to the evolution of customer engagement, enablement processes, and AI literacy across the organization.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with AI teams and subject matter experts to identify opportunities to enhance employee AI adoption, knowledgesharing, and effective use of AI tools and platforms.

  1. Design and deliver training materials, quickstart guides, toolkits, and demos that help employees understand and apply AI, analytics, data platforms, and automation capabilities.

  1. Coordinate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and enablement programs across the AI Enablement organization.

  1. Provide clear guidance and resources to help employees access and effectively use approved AI tools and platforms.

  1. Serve as a resource for business users exploring AI solutions, offering practical support on tools, processes, standards, and best practices.

  1. Partner with technical teams to identify emerging AI trends and incorporate them into training materials, enablement programs, and learning experiences.

  1. Gather feedback and evaluate the effectiveness of enablement programs through surveys, assessments, and performance insights.

  1. Track and report on the impact of AI training and enablement initiatives on business outcomes and employee adoption.

  1. Stay informed on AI industry developments and share relevant insights to support continuous learning across the organization.

  1. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, enablement activities, and related documentation.

  1. Support intake, prioritization, and coordination of enablement requests from business teams.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Specialist I: 0-2 years of professional experience, with exposure to training, instructional content creation, technical customer support, or community engagement.

  • Specialist II: 2–4 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year supporting training programs, technology enablement, customer engagement, or community coordination. Handson experience helping users adopt technology solutions, delivering workshops, or supporting AI/analytics/automation tools.

  • Specialist III: 4–6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in AI enablement, data/AI literacy training, community program support, or technical customer-facing roles. Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into clear materials and facilitate crossfunctional learning or user adoption.

  • Specialist , Sr: At least 6 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in AI enablement, enterprise training programs, useradoption initiatives, or technology community leadership. Proven experience designing or managing technical learning programs or coordinating with SMEs to deliver scalable enablement.

  • Specialist , Sr Lead: At least 8 years of professional experience, including 4+ years leading AI enablement programs, employee upskilling initiatives, Centers of Excellence activities, or technical communities. Experience driving enterpriselevel engagement strategies, managing intake processes, and aligning enablement programs with business priorities.

  • Specialist , Sr Staff: At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in strategic AI enablement, technical training leadership, or enterprise communitybuilding roles. Recognized ability to shape organizational learning strategies, mentor junior enablement practitioners, and influence AI adoption at scale.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Proven track record of providing customer service, consulting, or training on the use of software tools and processes to solve business problems.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and understandable language.

  • Experience with instructional methodologies, including hands-on activities and simulations, and tools.

  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools

  • Passion for technology and a willingness to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, trends, and processes

  • Familiarity with knowledge-sharing platforms and tools

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning principles

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data and computing platforms

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with energy and utility industry preferred

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

No certificates required; however, credentials such as AWS Certified AI Practitioner or similar AIfocused training certifications are a plus.
