At Nortal’s Emerging studio, we combine modern cloud engineering with agentic AI-driven development practices such as Spec-Driven Development and Agentic Swarm Coding. The goal is simple: build better software, faster—and rethink how software teams operate.

We’re now looking for an  AI-Driven Product Owner to join us on this journey. If you enjoy working closely with customers, shaping modern solutions to real business problems, and working at the edge of what’s possible with AI in software engineering and product development, this role is for you.

In addition to working as a Product Owner on specific customer projects, you’ll also play an active role in team transformation, presales activities, PoCs and evaluations, and supporting AI‑driven ways of working and hands‑on adoption across teams.

Our projects typically range from legacy modernization and extending existing systems with new functionality to full greenfield development.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Build novel software solutions for our customers, starting from understanding customer goals and validating assumptions to prioritisation, feature scoping, delivery, and iterative improvement.
• Translate complex, real‑world inputs into a clear solution direction, defining what to build, for whom, and why.
• Support a cross‑functional agile team, refining scope, answering questions, and keeping momentum high.
• Actively contribute to our Emerging studio by participating in pre‑sales activities and enabling AI‑driven ways of working across Nortal teams.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You don’t have to be a developer, but you should have genuine technical curiosity and enough understanding of modern AI-driven software delivery and AI tools to operate effectively in that space. What matters most is your ability to take ownership and drive progress independently

You might be a strong fit if you have:

• Experience in product ownership, business analysis, consulting, or similar client-facing roles
• Experience or eagerness to contribute to pre-sales, developing new ways of working and supporting other teams
• The ability to work independently with customers and “take the lead” in discovery and clarification
• Experience on AI-driven software delivery and its best practices, and hands-on experience on utilizing modern AI tools such as Claude Code as part of the development process (analysis, clarification, documentation, prototyping, ideation)
• Capability to translate between business language and engineering realities
• Awareness of typical pitfalls: dependencies, process impacts, integration complexity, and cost/effort implications
• Fluent communication skills in English and Finnish
