Job Description

Our Client is currently hiring a AI-Driven Automation Engineer to join their amazing team

About the role: Our client are looking for an AI-Driven Automation Engineer to lead the next generation of our digital transformation. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional automation and Artificial  Intelligence. Instead of just building rigid, rule-based workflows, you will design intelligent, cognitive automations capable of handling unstructured data, making contextual decisions, and evolving over time. You will be the architect behind our automated workflows, combining modern integration tools (such as n8n or equivalent), enterprise RPA, AI frameworks, and standard development practices.

Key responsibilities:
  • Hybrid Architecture Design: Evaluate complex business processes to identify where to use costeffective deterministic automation (fixed rules) and where to embed cognitive components (AI).
  • Workflow Orchestration: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, event-driven workflows, seamlessly connecting multiple enterprise APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
  • AI Agent and Chain Development: Build complex AI reasoning workflows, custom memory  systems, and autonomous multi-agent configurations via code.
  • Visual AI Prototyping: Leverage visual orchestration platforms for rapid prototyping of AI pipelines, exposing them cleanly as APIs to be consumed by other production systems.
  • Unstructured Data Processing: Implement Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to extract data from sources like PDFs, emails, images, and audio.
  • Governance and Guardrails (Human-in-the-Loop): Build robust exception-handling and validation gates so that humans can review AI outputs whenever confidence scores drop below safe thresholds.

Hard Skills:
  • Enterprise RPA and Workflow Automation: Solid, hands-on production experience with both UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) to interact with legacy systems and enterprise ecosystems.
  • Modern Workflow Orchestration: Production-level experience with modern, node-based  automation platforms like n8n or equivalent, including advanced node logic, custom data mapping, sub-workflows, and webhook handling.
  • AI Frameworks and Ecosystem:
    - Hands-on experience with LangChain for programmatic management of LLM prompts, chains, and agentic memory.
    - Hands-on experience with Langflow (or Flowise) for building, experimenting, and scaling visual AI pipelines.
  • Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in Python (core for AI development) and JavaScript/TypeScript (essential for handling data transformation inside orchestration tools).
  • APIs and Core Tech: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON processing, and standard databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • AI Models and Prompts: Direct experience integrating commercial and open-source LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama) using structured output techniques.

Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with Vector Databases (e.g., Chroma, Pinecone, Weaviate).
  • Experience with Browser Automation tools (Playwright, Selenium).
  • Knowledge of Docker, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and basic LLMOps/MLOps for monitoring token usage and latency

Soft Skills:
  • Pragmatic and ROI-Driven Thinking: The ability to simplify a messy process before writing code, choosing the most cost-effective solution (knowing when a simple conditional node is better than an expensive agent call).
  • Tolerance for Ambiguity: Comfort working with the probabilistic nature of LLMs, proactively designing fallback mechanisms for instances when AI models hallucinate.
  • Continuous Tech Sourcing: A passion for staying ahead of the curve in the rapidly shifting opensource AI and hyperautomation landscape.
