Department and Project

This position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals specializing in electronic road-charging solutions. Together with our partners, we develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process (vehicle registrations, country booking, providing On-Board Units, position data transmission, charge calculation, and fleet billing). Leveraging digital intelligence and advanced technology, our tolling solutions facilitate seamless mobility across Europe. The team aims to enhance existing services and expand into new domains. As part of an international team collaborating with T-Systems International, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with cutting-edge tolling solutions.

Main tasks

As a Fullstack AI Developer:

Fullstack AI Builders are experts in rapidly designing, developing and shipping end-to-end applications powered by modern AI capabilities. They combine strong software engineering across the full stack with a deep understanding of AI-assisted development, enabling them to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions at exceptional speed.

As a Fullstack AI Builder, you lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered applications in close collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional Scrum teams. You take full ownership of the software lifecycle — from rapid prototyping and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and production support — while building intuitive tools, dashboards, and automation workflows that simplify complex business processes. By working closely with stakeholders, you translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and seamless integration into existing infrastructure. With strong expertise in AI-assisted development, DevOps, and emerging technologies, you also support teams in adopting responsible AI practices while continuously expanding your understanding of both the tolling domain and modern engineering innovations.

Qualifications

Background and required skills:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following areas: Computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, natural science, mathematics, business or equivalent work experience in IT
• Bring over 3 years of professional experience in full-stack software development, AI-assisted engineering, or a comparable role.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular) and responsive UI design.
• Showcase proven backend development skills in at least two languages (e.g., Go, Python, TypeScript/Node.js) with experience building REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Exhibit practical expertise in AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT) and the ability to integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock) into production applications.
• Have hands-on experience with containerization and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Possess familiarity with cloud platforms — preferably AWS — including services such as EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and API Gateway.
• Have working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and data modeling for both relational and document-oriented stores.
• Understand authorization/authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT) and have experience integrating identity providers such as Keycloak.
• Demonstrate proven experience operating software in production — including monitoring, alerting, log analysis, incident response and post-mortem processes.
• Have hands-on skills in observability tooling (Grafana, OpenSearch, FluentBIT, Prometheus) for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Demonstrate experience with testing strategies across the stack — unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (Playwright, pytest, Go testing).
• Show familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles (Terraform, Kustomize) and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Basic knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and responsible AI practices.
• Be well-versed in Scrum, Kanban, and other agile methodologies.
• Show a strong willingness to understand the business domain and actively engage with subject-matter experts to deepen your knowledge of tolling systems and processes.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, a builder’s mentality, and a collaborative team spiritExcellent written and verbal communication competences in English language.
• Proficiency in Jira & Confluence.

Advantage:

• Experience working in SAFe environment.
