An AI Developer job is available with the City of Fort Worth FWLab department's Analytics & Intelligence (A&I) Division. This role sits within the Data & AI (DAI) team and serves as the City's hands-on builder of AI agents, bots, and automations that help departments work more efficiently. The AI Developer partners closely with the DAI team's analysts, the Business Strategy & Performance (BSP) team, and Information Technology Solutions (ITS) AI architecture team, turning departmental process challenges into practical automated solutions using tools such as Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry. With 28 departments seeking AI-enabled solutions, the ideal candidate is a builder who works well with ambiguity and imperfect data, is eager to grow their own skills alongside a young and fast-moving AI program, and is committed to growing the skills of the workforce the City already has.
Work Sample Requirement: As part of the interview process, candidates must present an AI product, agent, or bot they have personally built, such as a live demo, recorded walkthrough, or portfolio/code sample. Candidates unable to demonstrate hands-on work they have built will not move forward in the process.
