Job Description

As a member of our Data Engineering Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about leveraging data to drive business outcomes through innovation and engineering practices. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the data lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Our data engineers work on the acquisition, transformation, and management of large-scale data assets, and create solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing architecture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acquire and manage data from different data sources and data storages

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Transform existing ETL logic on AWS and/or Databricks or equivalent cloud AI platform

  • Innovate new ways of managing, transforming, and validating data

  • Implement new or enhance services and scripts (in both object-oriented and functional programming)

  • Establish and enforce guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and completeness of data assets

  • Apply quality assurance best practices to all work products

  • Analyze, design, and implement business-related solutions and core architectural changes using Agile programming methodologies with a development team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in advanced Python programming, with experience utilizing libraries such as Pandas and/or NumPy

  • Proficiency in Spark fundamentals and implementing complex ETL transformations using Spark

  • Experience with the AWS data engineering stack, including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis, EC2, EMR, Lambda, EKS, RDS, and others

  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

  • Experience developing APIs leveraging different back-end data stores

  • Familiarity with relational database environments (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), leveraging databases, tables/views, stored procedures, etc.

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases

  • Hands-on experience with AI/IA,

  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Machine Learning, and NLP in production contexts.
  • Financial Services and Commercial Banking experience is a plus
