AI Capability Lead

We are moving beyond experimentation into embedding AI in the workflows that matter most - changing how work gets done in meaningful and lasting ways.

At the centre of this is our Enterprise AI Hub: a diverse group of builders across strategy, delivery, product, data and technology, working together to design and deliver practical AI solutions that scale.

The Opportunity

As we move beyond experimentation and into enterprise-wide adoption, we're looking for an AI Capability Lead to help ensure our people have the skills, confidence and support they need to thrive in an AI-enabled workplace.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how employees learn, adopt and apply AI in meaningful ways, influencing workforce capability, organisational design and the future of work across Medibank.

What you'll be doing

You'll sit within our AI Hub and work across the business to:

• Define and evolve Medibank's AI capability framework and workforce readiness approach.
• Design role-based learning pathways that help employees and leaders build practical AI skills.
• Establish and grow an enterprise-wide AI practitioner community.
• Partner with workforce, learning, change and business leaders to embed AI capability into broader organisational development initiatives.
• Help shape organisational structures, operating models and governance approaches that support AI adoption at scale.
• Use workforce insights and capability data to identify future skill requirements and capability gaps.
• Translate emerging AI trends into practical, human-centred learning experiences and development programs.

About you

You bring a blend of organisational development, workforce transformation and capability-building expertise, alongside a genuine curiosity about how AI is changing the way we work.

You'll ideally have experience in:

• Proven experience with learning design, capability development, community building, organisational development or digital adoption.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting organisation design and operating model evolution.
• Building communities of practice, professional networks or large-scale capability programs.
• Developing capability frameworks, self-assessments and learning pathways.
• Influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders across business and technology.
• AI, emerging technology or digital transformation initiatives (advantageous).
• Most importantly, you're passionate about helping people adapt, learn and succeed as technology transforms the workplace.
