AI Automation Engineer (Junior–Mid Level)

EPEX Home Performance is building the next-generation home services company — integrating solar, roofing, windows, and HVAC into unified performance systems.

Now we are building the AI layer that powers it.

We are looking for a hands-on AI Automation Engineer to work directly with our AI & Systems Lead to help build internal automation, AI agents, and integrations across sales, marketing, recruiting, and operations.

This is a builder role for someone who wants to grow fast in applied AI.

Ideal Candidate

• 1–3 years of development or automation experience

• Has built real projects (side projects count)

• Excited about applied AI in business

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment

• Builder mindset

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Build internal automation tools using Claude and OpenAI APIs

• Connect and integrate CRM, marketing, and operational systems

• Develop AI-powered workflows that increase efficiency

• Rapidly prototype internal AI agents

• Assist in deploying AI into daily business processes

• Help scale the company’s internal automation infrastructure

Required Skills

• Experience using LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, etc.)

• Basic backend knowledge (Node, Python, or similar)

• Familiarity with Git and VS Code

• Experience with automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving ability

• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
