Job Title: AI & Automation Engineer (C#, .NET, Python)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Classification: Exempt

Pay Range: $80,000 - $105,000

Regal Boats is seeking a talented and driven AI & Automation Engineer to build and integrate intelligent features into our applications, automate workflows, and support our transition into AI-assisted operations. You will work with .NET (and optionally Python) to deploy LLM-powered tools, document intelligence pipelines, data extraction, and automated workflows that improve efficiency across the organization. This role will help define and implement our long-term AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Integrate AI features into internal and external applications (document search, chat, automation, summarization).
  2. Build .NET- or Python-based automation workflows that streamline operations.
  3. Develop and manage vector search, embeddings, and document intelligence pipelines.
  4. Integrate AI with ERP, SQL Server, and internal tools.
  5. Support OCR, data extraction, RAG, and knowledge-base workflows.
  6. Create APIs and microservices that expose intelligence features across systems.
  7. Work closely with developers and data teams to ensure clean, accurate data flows.
  8. Implement prompt templates, retrieval strategies, and performance tuning.
  9. Assist with AI governance, security, and guardrails.

Required Qualifications

  1. Strong C#/.NET development experience.
  2. Understanding of modern AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG).
  3. SQL Server experience for data retrieval and preprocessing.
  4. Experience designing APIs and automation logic.
  5. Ability to work across data, development, and operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with Python (FastAPI, LangChain, Pydantic, etc.).
  2. Experience with Azure AI, OpenAI, or similar platforms.
  3. Experience with OCR tools or document processing systems.
  4. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) or microservices.

Work Environment
ON-SITE Required. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
