As a AI-augmented General Accountant, you will be an important member of our Finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month‑end close processes.

You will be part of an automation and AIoriented team, actively contributing to process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

You will report directly to the General Accounting Team Leader and work in a hybrid model from our Katowice office within the European time zone.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Process the month-end close journal entries for assigned entities, leveraging AI-enabled tools (including Copilot) to enhance accuracy, consistency, and efficiency, while applying professional experience in accounting and controlling to ensure high-quality financial outputs and sound judgment.
  • Perform reconciliations and postings on intercompany accounts and bank statements, using automated data validation, analytics, and Power Query‑based solutions.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, utilizing strong accounting and controlling knowledge to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper interpretation of financial balances.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP / IFRS and internal accounting policies, supported by intelligent checks, data analytics, and standardized digital controls
  • Support the group reporting process managed by regional controllers, applying controlling and accounting expertise to validate financial data and support high-quality reporting.
  • Actively review assigned general ledger processes to identify automation opportunities using advanced Microsoft tools, AI and RPA platforms in cooperation with Rockwell's Digital Powerhouse team.
  • Support Record to Report (RTR) transformation initiatives, including testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of implemented AI-driven and automated solutions, leveraging hands-on accounting and controlling experience to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with business needs.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Minimum B2 level of English (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (practical usage of Power Query, Power BIs, Power Pivots will put you ahead).
  • Experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
  • Analytical skills and ability to optimize workflows.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar GL or accounting role.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Experience - supporting process automation projects (e.g., RPA, Power Automate,)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (practical usage of Power Query, Power BI will put you ahead)
