As our AI Architect, you will define and drive the AI architecture strategy for Allianz Benelux. You bridge business ambitions and technology capabilities — ensuring that every AI solution we build is scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with our long-term vision.

Working within the AI & Data domain, you'll collaborate with business leaders, data experts, enterprise architects, and Allianz Technology teams to design and govern enterprise-grade AI solutions. Your Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the AI architecture framework — including principles, capability models, design patterns, and target-state architecture
• Translate business use cases into end-to-end AI architecture designs aligned with Allianz standards and objectives
• Design scalable and reusable AI solutions by selecting appropriate platforms, integration patterns, and technology components
• Collaborate closely with business, data, IT, and Allianz Technology stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery
• Drive AI platform and vendor strategy decisions — evaluating internal and external solutions while balancing scalability, speed to market, and cost
• Promote the adoption and reuse of enterprise AI platforms, capabilities, and services across the organization
• Contribute to AI governance and Design Authority processes by reviewing and validating architecture designs
• Ensure compliance with Responsible AI principles, data privacy requirements, security standards, and regulatory obligations
• Provide architecture leadership throughout the AI lifecycle — from ideation and design to deployment and continuous improvement
• Monitor emerging AI technologies, market trends, and Allianz Group initiatives to strengthen our architecture maturity

Your Profile:

• You hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field and bring extensive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, AI platforms, or advanced analytics environments.
• You have proven experience designing enterprise-scale AI or data-driven solutions, including conceptual data modelling, ontology design, and architecture frameworks. You're comfortable working with data-intensive processes within complex organizations and have delivered large-scale business intelligence, AI, or advanced analytics initiatives.
• Your technical expertise spans AI architecture and system design, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic frameworks, cloud and AI platforms (Azure, AWS, Allianz Data Platform), data and machine learning engineering (data pipelines, MLOps), as well as AI governance, security, and Responsible AI.
• You combine this with excellent stakeholder management skills — communicating complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You understand cloud-native architectures, integration patterns, and platform strategies, and you're familiar with AI governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is highly desirable. You are fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset.
