We are looking for a talented Application Engineer to build the AI solutions that will transform how we engage with guests. In this one-year contract role, you will be responsible for the coding, testing, and deployment of AI features, such as chatbots for room booking and personalized recommendation engines. You will work side-by-side with our internal LHG AI Cadre, helping them apply their newly learned skills to real-world problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development: Build, test, and deploy AI-powered applications based on the Solution Architect's designs. This includes developing APIs, integrating with third-party LLMs, and connecting to existing LHG systems (PMS, CRM, Website).
• Implementation of Use Cases: Focus on the practical implementation of the S&M ideas, such as creating a proof-of-concept for a voice-enabled booking assistant or a tool that drafts personalized guest emails.
• Integration: Connect AI models to data sources, ensuring efficient data retrieval and secure handling of guest information.
• Cadre Collaboration: Work embedded within the LHG AI Cadre, pair-programming, and guiding team members through the technical challenges of building their first AI agents.
• Documentation: Document the code, architectures, and processes to ensure knowledge is retained within LHG after the contract ends.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in software development, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience building applications that leverage AI/ML APIs (especially LLMs).
• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript. Experience with API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) and front-end integration.
• AI Tools: Practical experience with prompt engineering, LangChain, and calling APIs from services like OpenAI, Anthropic, or cloud providers.
• Data Handling: Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and basic data processing.
• Mindset: A product-oriented builder mentality. Eager to learn and experiment, and passionate about teaching others.
