At Johnson Lambert, we relentlessly strive to advocate for our clients and employees, and inspire an environment that embodies agility, respect, and trust. This role will focus on facilitating the implementation and adoption of AI-based solutions to assist with the development of technology-enabled audit procedures across the firm. You will sit at the intersection of Quality Management and the firm’s IT and AI innovation leadership to facilitate high-impact AI use cases that improve audit efficiency while maintaining compliance with professional standards.

All roles offered at Johnson Lambert are offered in a hybrid format, should you be in close proximity to one of our 8 office locations, or have the flexibility to work from home in a remote setting.

As an AI and Automation Manager you will have the opportunity to:

  • Quality, Risk & Compliance: Embed quality management considerations into the AI and automation strategy consistent with the firm’s System of Quality Management (SQMS) requirements. You will ensure all solutions align with professional standards (GAAS/GAGAS) and firm methodology to drive innovation with a commitment to quality at the forefront.
  • Operational Excellence & Adoption: Serve as a point of contact for engagement teams, providing ongoing support, documentation, and training.
  • Change Management & Enablement: Lead the creation and maintenance of diverse training materials, including user guides, quick-start videos, and other job aids. You will champion adoption with engagement teams and develop training aligned with methodology updates..

Qualifications & Selection Process

We look for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional experience across external audit, IT audit, and/or audit analytics within a public accounting firm or equivalent field, including a working knowledge of GAAS.
  • Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Agents, Prompting, and AI governance/controls.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts between engagement teams, QM/IT leadership, and firm senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated project leadership, stakeholder management, and project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active CPA (or in progress), CISA, or AICPA CITP; other data/automation certifications (UiPath, Alteryx, Microsoft) are a plus.
  • Insurance and/or nonprofit industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of advanced multi-agent systems (e.g., Bedrock AgentCore, CrewAI, or other orchestration/harness infrastructure).
  • Prior experience in quality management or inspection support.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000, plus eligibility for our annual Profit Sharing Program. Final compensation is determined by various factors, such as geographic location, specialized skills, and years of relevant experience.

We value your time and have built the selection process to reflect that. Our process is simple; you will begin the selection process with an application that is individually reviewed by our Recruiting team and a recruiting screen to best understand your specific areas of interest. Following the initial interview, you will engage in further discussions with our QM, IT, and innovation leadership to explore your technical craft and project management approach. After that, decisions will be made and the Recruiting team will be back in touch.

We value our candidates and want to ensure a process that directly reflects what you can expect as a Johnson Lambert employee. That means you have an entire HR team to support you through your candidacy and ensure you’re finding a position that will allow you to take your career to the next level in a culture that helps you thrive.

Equity note: Research suggests that women and Black, Indigenous, and other persons of color are less likely than men or White job seekers to apply for positions unless they are confident they meet 100% of the qualifications. We strongly encourage interested individuals to apply, and allow us to evaluate the knowledge, skills, and abilities you demonstrate, using an internal equity lens..

Johnson Lambert prides itself for the hands-on approach and relationships we build with future employees, employees, and clients. We believe each application is the potential for a future relationship with JL. Therefore, a member of our HR team personally reviews all applications submitted.
