We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the AI and Automation Lead, reporting to the Program Manager for CX and Digital Transformation.

A bit about your role

FW Network Delivery is focused on strengthening digital capability to enable smarter, faster, and more reliable network operations through customer‑led design, simplified workflows, and effective digital transformation.

The digital transformation function delivers improved customer and employee experiences by providing innovative digital solutions, operational excellence, and robust engineering frameworks as a shared service across the organisation.

The AI & Automation also lead drives the automation and AI transformation by designing and running solutions that combine process automation, AI, and data‑driven engineering.

Finally, the role ensures initiatives deliver measurable business value while embedding continuous improvement and long‑term capability uplift across FW Network Delivery.

A bit about you

The role requires extensive experience delivering large‑scale, complex solutions in telecommunications or technology environments.

It demands strong leadership capability with proven experience managing technical teams, projects, and vendors across agile and waterfall delivery models.

The candidate must also have deep expertise in enterprise and solution architecture, including creating and maintaining architecture artefacts, applying standards and frameworks, and leveraging modern technologies such as automation platforms, AI, ML, and API‑driven orchestration.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills are also essential.
