About the Role

As an AI & Analytics Product Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing intelligent applications that enhance risk engineering insights and underwriting decision-making within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. You'll combine technical expertise with business acumen to deliver scalable AI solutions that transform how risks are evaluated and managed globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build AI Applications for Risk Engineering and Underwriting Decisions that augment workflows and enable deeper insights into asset characteristics and risk vulnerabilities
  • Own End-to-End AI Product Development throughout the lifecycle—from opportunity identification and prototype development to deployment, scaling, and ongoing enhancement
  • Build Scalable Data & AI Pipelines using PySpark in Palantir Foundry to support production-grade AI applications and analytics products
  • Translate Business Problems into AI and data analytics solutions by partnering with risk engineers, underwriters, and analytics teams
  • Develop Intuitive Analytics Applications that allow global teams to explore risk insights and interact with AI-driven decision support tools
  • Drive Innovation in risk engineering analytics by applying AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve risk assessment processes

About the Team

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions provides innovative insurance solutions for multinational corporations worldwide. Backed by the financial strength of the Swiss Re Group, we support more than 50,000 customers globally in understanding and mitigating their risk exposures. The Risk Engineering Services (RES) function operates globally and plays a critical role in supporting underwriting through technical risk insights and assessments. You will join a global team focused on building advanced AI and analytics capabilities that elevate the risk engineering function and enable smarter underwriting decisions.

About You

You're a creative problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of technology and business value. You have a strong technical foundation combined with the ability to understand complex business challenges and translate them into scalable AI solutions. You're passionate about building products that deliver meaningful impact and enjoy collaborating across global teams to drive innovation.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or applied data science
  • Strong programming skills in Python with experience building data-driven applications in production environments
  • Advanced SQL and data transformation expertise
  • Experience developing machine learning models or advanced analytical workflows
  • Strong capability to explore complex datasets and generate meaningful insights

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience with PySpark or distributed data processing frameworks
  • Experience working with Palantir Foundry or modern enterprise data platforms
  • Experience building interactive analytics tools or applications
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to independently drive initiatives
  • Curiosity to explore new technologies and AI approaches
  • Ability to work effectively across global teams and disciplines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
