THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Open Digital Services is looking for an AI Agentic based out of Madrid.

As an Agentic Engineer you will responsible to design, build, and deploy intelligent AI systems that transform how products are imagined, specified, built, tested, shipped, and improved. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI agents, automation, and product development. You will work on systems that can reason, plan, use tools, interact with enterprise platforms, and automate real workflows across the full Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) - from idea to production. Our ambition is clear: enable teams to create products, mobile apps, features, websites, APIs, automated tests, documentation, and deployment workflows with AI-native, agentic support.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a backlog of Transformational Product Development ideas from the team and prioritizing them based on impact to productivity and the business.

  • Implementing a range of Transformational Product Development solutions using platforms provided by the Group... most that we have high confidence in their success but also pursuing more experimental ideas where the failure rate may be higher but the reward if successful greater. Run these more experimental ideas with one squad until their success is proven. That is, continuously push the envelope of these tools.

  • Create and maintain a sandbox environment where teams can, compliant with our security policies, experiment with various tools.

  • Create and maintain a production environment for tools to be internally used globally by Openbank teams.

  • Focus will be on tools for product development and operations within the Openbank scope. The models will span design, product, development and operations.

  • The mandate of the team will be to learn and be curious but to show tangible results in productivity improvement and employee satisfaction.

  • Initial priority projects will include automated functional test, user story creation, improving SDLC efficiency, etc.

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience working with AI/LLM-based applications, automation, or AI agents.

  • AI-powered solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks

  • RAG systems

  • Multi-Agent architectures

  • Cloud technologies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data science, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline. (Preferred)

Language

  • English (Required)

  • Strong engineering mindset with experience building scalable platforms and internal tools.

  • Curiosity and passion for emerging technologies, particularly in AI, LLMs and agent-based systems.
