Job Description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an AI Agent Software Engineer on behalf of a top AI-driven technology client building next-generation autonomous customer experience systems across industries including finance, healthcare, and travel.

This role offers the opportunity to build production-grade AI agents that autonomously handle complex, real-world customer interactions traditionally managed by human support teams. The engineer in this role will own features end-to-end—from concept and design through deployment and iteration—while collaborating closely with product, operations, and customer-facing teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with curiosity about AI systems, a bias toward ownership, and a desire to build reliable, transparent, and scalable agent-based platforms.

In This Role, You Will

  • Design and build AI-driven voice and chat agents that deliver high accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Translate natural language instructions into structured, auditable workflows using a proprietary agent logic framework
  • Own full-cycle development from system design through deployment and continuous improvement
  • Analyze agent performance data to identify trends and drive behavioral and platform-level improvements
  • Experiment with and integrate modern voice and language models, tuning for enterprise reliability, latency, and scale
  • Use real-time observability and tracing tools to understand, debug, and improve agent decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, customer teams, and operations partners to solve real business problems

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience working on production systems with real users
  • Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript, including asynchronous programming and error handling
  • Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills using logs, profilers, and raw data analysis
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (language background flexible)
  • Proactive mindset with curiosity around how AI agents reason, fail, and improve
  • Willingness to learn—prior AI experience is not required

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to multimodal AI systems or voice interface development
  • Experience with enterprise customer experience or conversational automation platforms
  • Interest in tools that improve agent transparency through testing, visualization, and simulation

Benefits

  • Full-time roles offering overtime and weekend work opportunities
  • Competitive hourly wages plus potential quarterly bonuses
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance plans
  • Life insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions
  • Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • Opportunities for career growth and advancement
  • Employee discount programs and perks
