Job Description

BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance — and AI is at the center of how we do it. We’re expanding our AI team and looking for another AI Adoption Lead to help us go further, faster. This is a new role on a growing team, built for someone who is more builder than theorist; more doer than strategist.
About the Role
In this role, you'll help bring AI into the day-to-day work of every department at BIS. This role isn't about talking up the future of AI - it's about making AI real, practical, and useful right now You'll work across departments to uncover opportunities, build and deploy AI solutions, and help people do their jobs better, faster, and more creatively. If you're all about action, experimentation, and making change stick, this is your kind of role.
Part engineer, part consultant, part coach — you bring ideas to life and you bring people along with you.
This is an onsite role based at our Sherwood Park, Alberta office.

In this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Find and prioritize where AI can make the biggest difference across teams and workflows, surfacing and validating automation opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery with departments — interviewing team members, mapping their processes, and understanding how people actually work before proposing any solution.
  • Build and maintain AI agents and complex workflows that connect BIS systems together, solve real business problems, and drive measurable efficiency gains.
  • Drive AI projects from start to finish, managing active pilots across multiple departments simultaneously and balancing quick wins with longer-term initiatives.
  • Train and support teams to build AI into their daily work through hands-on coaching, workshops, lunch-and-learns, and one-on-one sessions.
  • Manage and evolve BIS's AI tech stack, staying ahead of new tools and technologies to ensure we're using the best solutions securely.
  • Track and report on AI adoption metrics, including hours saved, error reduction, and ROI — sharing wins and lessons in Monday Morning Meetings and other company-wide venues.
  • Monitor, refine, and update implemented AI solutions over time to ensure high adoption rates and continued value.
  • Serve as BIS's AI subject matter expert, helping leadership and teams make informed decisions about AI strategy and investment.

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Have built AI agents or complex AI-driven workflows and can show examples of your work. This is a must.
  • Bring strong technical knowledge of AI tools and platforms, with real hands-on experience implementing AI solutions.
  • Are intensely curious and self-driven - not just about AI, but about the people using it and the problems they’re trying to solve. You ask "walk me through your day" before you propose a solution.
  • Can make sense of complex problems and keep solutions practical, focused, and tied to real business outcomes.
  • Are organized and able to juggle multiple projects at once, tracking progress and maintaining momentum across concurrent initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively - you can translate technical AI concepts into language that resonates with non-technical teams.
  • Work well independently, with limited guidance, while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where you're expected to take ownership and drive results.
  • Are desensitized to failure. You learn from what didn’t work, document it, and move on without taking it personally.
  • Think about ROI in everything you build — hours saved, errors reduced, conversions improved. You measure what matters.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Familiarity with tools like n8n, Zapier, Power Automate, API and MCP integrations.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience — this role runs a lot of concurrent pilots.
  • Experience developing AI training programs or internal enablement content.
About BIS:
