We are hiring an Agronomy Officer to drive the ANZ Agronomy sustainability agenda and support the delivery of the function's strategic priorities. This role will drive the ANZ Agronomy Pep+ program, deliver broader sustainability initiatives and support strategic projects. Success requires strong stakeholder collaboration and the ability to turn strategy into action.

This role offers the flexibility to be based in our Brisbane, Adelaide or North Sydney office.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the ANZ sustainability program, delivering initiatives across sustainable sourcing, regenerative agriculture, water efficiency, biodiversity, and soil health.
  • Support the delivery of strategic agronomy initiatives that strengthen grower capability, supply resilience, productivity, and long-term business performance
  • Partner with agronomy managers, growers, and research teams to develop and implement sustainability plans and best practices.
  • Manage external consultants and vendor assurance programs to achieve key sustainability and quality outcomes.
  • Oversee the implementation of global quality and assurance programs across the agronomy function.
  • Monitor, report, and communicate sustainability performance across Business Unit, Sector, and Global stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in agricultural supply chain, agronomy or research and development.
  • Experience managing agricultural sustainability programs.
  • Degree in Agricultural Science; Postgraduate qualifications or an MBA are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of agronomy, sustainability and agricultural research and extension.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead people, influence outcomes and build strong partnerships.
