Job Category: General LaborPremier Cooperative is seeking a Custom Applicator / Driver to join our Agronomy team in New Albin. This role is responsible for custom application of crop inputs and delivery of agronomy products, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Custom Application
- Apply crop protection products and plant nutrients safely and accurately
- Operate sprayers, spreaders, and application equipment
- Mix, load, and handle products following all regulatory and company guidelines
- Complete required application records and documentation daily
- Ensure timely application aligned with agronomic recommendations
Driving & Delivery
- Deliver seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products to customers
- Operate and maintain CDL-required vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
- Complete delivery paperwork and communicate with the team on logistics
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Agronomy & Field Support
- Assist with field scouting, soil sampling, and agronomic observations
- Communicate field conditions (weeds, insects, crop conditions) to agronomists
- Support blending, loading, and plant operations during peak seasons
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on application and trucking equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and facilities
- Assist with inventory handling and product receiving
Customer Service & Team Support
- Provide positive, professional interaction with customers
- Respond to customer needs and support the agronomy team
- Assist other departments or locations as needed during peak seasons
- Be available for extended hours, including weekends, during spring and fall seasons
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A preferred) or ability to obtain
- Commercial Applicator License or ability to obtain
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift 50–60 lbs repeatedly
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, and agricultural environments
- Ability to work long hours during peak seasons
